In this presentation, we will cover bird species commonly found injured, ill, or orphaned in our urban environments and frequent injury types. We will discuss how to identify abnormal behavior, when to intervene, and what intervention entails, including safe capture techniques. With the goal of a human-wildlife alliance, educated and compassionate members of the public can be prepared and knowledgeable in these situations.
