Explore Mueller Park's Hiking Trails & Birdwatching Bliss!

Embark on an adventure through Mueller Park's newly opened hiking trails, where miles of unexplored terrain await your discovery!

Description

Embark on an adventure through Mueller Park's newly opened hiking trails, where miles of unexplored terrain await your discovery! Lace up your hiking boots and get ready to explore some of Davis County's most breathtaking scenery. Mueller Park's lush riparian habitats offer an exceptional birding experience, with the melodious songs of hidden birds echoing through the foliage and underbrush. Our journey will lead to a high ridge boasting sweeping views of the valley and the Great Salt Lake. As the sun sets over Antelope Island, we'll pause to take in the breathtaking vistas. In 2024, this hike fostered incredible camaraderie as we worked together to spot birds and share in the joy of nature. With an elevation gain of 2,000 feet, be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks to keep you energized. After sunset, we’ll descend the canyon, so don’t forget to bring a headlamp with extra batteries. Insect repellent is also recommended, though biting insects have been rare on past Mueller Park hikes. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Wasatch Trail System, connect with fellow adventurers, and marvel at the diverse birdlife in this stunning landscape. Each trip is a unique experience—don’t miss this year’s birding adventure! This trip is perfect for couples and friends to enjoy together, offering a fun and engaging learning experience.

*Participants are required to provide own headlamp.
