We will explore the biodiversity of the Red Butte Creek Area through bird watching and insect spotting, highlighting the importance of these groups and potential interactions between them. From warblers and woodpeckers to dragonflies and beetles, we’ll discuss the critical roles these species play in the ecosystem. Bugs aren’t just bird food - they’re pollinators, decomposers, and key players in maintaining ecological balance. Join us for a walk through riparian and foothill habitats to uncover cool facts about local birds, bugs, and their interconnected worlds! This trip will have a focus for families and children.
