Birding Dimple Dell

Put on your hiking shoes to search for Woodhouse’s Scrub-Jays, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Lazuli Buntings, and three species of hummingbirds.

Description New 2025

Dimple Dell Regional Park is one of the last remaining undeveloped public parks in the Salt Lake Valley. It’s treasured for its wildlife, native plants, and majestic mountain views. Put on your hiking shoes and join us as we search for Woodhouse’s Scrub-Jays, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Lazuli Buntings, and possibly three species of hummingbirds. If we are lucky maybe we will spot a Virginia's Warbler. Plan for uneven trail surfaces and elevation changes. Bring binoculars, water, and a snack. All birders welcome.
