Behind the Gates at Legacy Nature Preserve

This is a rare opportunity to go behind the gates at Legacy Nature Preserve!

Description

This is a rare opportunity to go behind the gates at Legacy Nature Preserve. You will be guided along remnant oxbow features of the Jordan River to view migrant and resident waterfowl and shorebirds. You may also be treated to views of one of only four, known, active Bald Eagle nests in northern Utah.

Dress for the weather and for biting insects. Depending on conditions, rubber or waterproof boots are highly recommended. Bring your binoculars and/or camera, water, a hat, sunscreen, and a snack if you would like. Access is dependent on dirt road conditions; we will access as much of the preserve as possible. More walking may be required if road conditions are poor (muddy, flooded, or heavily rutted). Guide will have a spotting scope to share.
