South Davis Senior Activity Center in Bountiful serves a wide range of seniors from Farmington, Woods Cross, North Salt Lake, West Bountiful and Centerville who have arthritis pain.  Davis County has provided training and have incorporated classes 2 times per week with 8 - 10 participants at our center.  Our focus is to educate members on pain relief and  management. The center also offers balancing and caregiver classes along with our other various activities.  Blood Pressure is offered 2 times per month to accommodate our seniors.

The Davis County Medical and Dental Clinics are co-located with the Davis County Health Department. Comprehensive primary care services including treatment for acute and chronic illnesses, well care, and mental health counseling are offered. Oral health care services include extractions, fillings, root canals, partials, crowns, and dentures.  This site serves as the Utah Cancer Control Program for Davis County residents requiring Pap smears and vouchers for mammography services as well as the county’s testing site for sexually transmitted infections.  Midtown’s providers are experienced in managing chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension.  Services are provided in English and Spanish. Insurance, Medicaid, CHIP, and Medicare are accepted.  Discounted services are available for uninsured patients.

The North Davis Senior Activity Center in Clearfield, Utah, serves seniors in Clearfield, northern Layton, South Weber, Syracuse, Clinton, Sunset, and West Point.

Some of the opportunities we offer include lunch each week day, exercise, recreation, transportation, health screenings, nutritional supplements, and social services. The center is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays.

WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. Nutrition education and counseling, nutritious foods, and help accessing health care are provided to qualifying women, infants, and children through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program, popularly known as WIC.

Formerly known as the Autumn Glow Senior Activity Center. Central Davis Senior Activity Center was built in 1991 and began serving seniors in the Layton, Kaysville, Fruit Heights, Farmington, and Centerville areas. Central Davis Senior Center serves hot meals and more than 120 home-delivered meals each week day. They offer a variety of classes, trips, fun activities, volunteer opportunities, entertainment, and physical activity opportunities.

Like CPR, QPR is a simple process that anyone can be trained to use, to help save the life of a person who is having suicidal thoughts. Learn how to recognize warning signs, ask questions to assess the situation, persuade the person to seek help, and refer them to a mental health or crisis caregiver.   This training is 1.5 hours long and is available to any community group with 10 or more participants.

Awareness of reasons that we may miss, dismiss, or avoid signs of suicide

Hands-on skills practice and development

Eight week falls prevention workshop includes: exercises to build strength and balance, visits from medical experts including physical therapists, ophthalmologists, & pharmacists, instruction on creating a safe home environment and reducing fall hazards, and other excellent information to improve confidence and independence and reduce falls.

The United Way Dental Program helps to improve the lives of Davis County residents who suffer from minor dental problems such as cavities, or who may have a dental emergency and may not have the resources to get the dental assistance they need. These services are offered through contract providers at no cost to families and/or individuals who meet income guidelines through a United Way grant given to the Davis County Health Department. Services are available until grant funds are exhausted each fiscal year.
