Recycling

The Davis County Health Department does NOT offer car seat recycling services. Target and Walmart have car seat take-back days biannually, where you can bring your old car seat to the store and they will recycle it for you (make sure to call the store and/or check their websites for details). If you are not able to store your seat until a take-back event is available, be sure to cut out the straps before disposing of the car seat. Cutting the straps prevents someone else from using the seat if it's expired, been in an accident, or no longer usable.
